BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- News briefs is a list of unit events and information.
Civilian bosses to see air refueling
The 940th Air Refueling Wing is planning a employer orientation flight in June. This flight will give about 50 civilian employers an up-close-and-personal-view of the unit’s air refueling mission.
Traditional Reservists assigned to Beale Air Force Base will have the opportunity to nominate their civilian employer to participate in this program.
Orientation flights and other outreach programs help provide civilian employers with the information needed to make informed decisions. In the end, everyone wins: the employer gets highly-skilled, loyal and motivated employees, the Air Force Reserve gets Airmen available to perform the mission, and America gets an excellent value for its defense dollar.
With the evolving transformation of the U.S. military into a leaner, more agile force, the partnership between civilian employers and the Air Force Reserve is likely to be even more important in the future.
