MCAS Iwakuni is a mission-ready air station, capable of providing continuous base-operating support for tenant organizations and follow-on U.S. and allied forces during training, combat or contingency (HA/DR) operations throughout the Indo-Asia Pacific region.

Perry elementary gymnasium aboard Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Jan. 30, 2014. The purpose of the event was to build a better sense of appreciation and understanding between Iwakuni residents and the M.C. Perry students. The local Iwakuni Agricultural and Societal Cooperative Associations presented M.C. Perry Elementary School with 20 boxes of mikans with an approximately value of 100,000 yen.
