MCAS Iwakuni is a mission-ready air station, capable of providing continuous base-operating support for tenant organizations and follow-on U.S. and allied forces during training, combat or contingency (HA/DR) operations throughout the Indo-Asia Pacific region.

The Department of Defense Education Activity nominates only three schools for the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence award annually, one from DoD Dependent School’s Europe, one from DoDEA Pacific and one from Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools and this year M. C. Perry was selected along with Aukamm Elementary School in Germany.
