MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan - U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Melvin Jacobs, the creator and director of the Adversity Recovery and Mentorship (ARM) program, explains the positive impacts of volunteering during an ARM program class at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, June 8, 2022. The ARM program, open to all service members throughout the air station, aims to provide guidance and resources to service members of all ranks who are facing judicial and non-judicial punishment. The program focuses on subjects such as seeking volunteer opportunities, career progression advice, and also features guest speaker appearances, namely command financial specialists, as well as installation volunteer coordinators.
