What we do

We maintain Marine Corps and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety programs to promote a safer and healthier work environment for all personnel including Active Duty, US Civilian and MLC/IHA aboard MCAS Iwakuni. This includes providing trainings, site inspections and reports.

Driving Safety School Class:

  • Iwakuni City is sponsoring a Safe Driving Class at the Iwakuni Driving School periodically for all active-duty military, US Civilians and family members who possess a valid Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) or Stateside driver’s license.

  • The class involves a practical driving session with a driving school vehicle and certified instructor on their private closed course.

Motorcycle Training:

  • Motorcycle Safety Foundation training is conducted at the Air Station.

  • For Active-Duty personnel, contact your unit’s motorcycle mentor for further information.
