MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan - U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet pilots with Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 27, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, return to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, August 24, 2023. The air wing's return marked the halfway point of their current deployment aboard the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76), where they provide airpower to protect U.S. forces and allies as they flew missions in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
