MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan - U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Danny Xu and Lt. Benjamin Schierman, both pilots assigned to Carrier Air Wing 5, pilot a U.S. Navy CMV-22B Osprey with Fleet Logistics Multi-Mission Squadron (VRM) 30, Detachment Forward Deployed Naval Forces, during Friendship Day at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, May 3, 2026. Since 1973, MCAS Iwkauni has held an air show designed to foster positive relationships and offer an exciting experience that displays the communal support between the U.S. and Japan.
