Torres, BHC staff nurse, cut a cake celebrating the 103rd birthday of the Navy Nurse Corps at the BHC here May 13. The Nurse Corps has aided service members in times of war, providing medical care and comfort for all service branches. The Nurse Corps’ rich tradition can be traced back to the Angels of Bataan, the first group of female service members taken as prisoners of war during World War II.
