Visitors walk across the Kintai Bridge in Iwakuni, Jan. 14. The Kintai Bridge, Iwakuni’s most iconic symbol, gives all those willing to pay a small fee the chance to walk across its::r::::n::ancient design. The original bridge was finished Oct. 1, 1673. The bridge that was reconstructed in 1953 undergoes repair on regular intervals to maintain the integrity of the bridge.
