MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan -- The Robert M. Casey Medical and Dental Clinic is scheduled to hold a town hall meeting Nov. 20, 2013, at the Branch Health Clinic lobby from 5-6 p.m. Senior leaders and department representatives will be present to disseminate information regarding different medical and dental services provided by the clinic to its beneficiaries.
The meeting pertains mostly to active duty family members, especially those who have recently had a Permanent Change of Station to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, senior enlisted leaders of tenant commands, command ombudsman, Family Readiness Officers, and Department of Defense workers and contractors who utilize the clinic.
Those attending are encouraged to ask questions pertaining to their healthcare benefits. The goal of the meeting is to provide facts about the medical and dental services offered by the clinic, such as how to attain specialty services which are available locally, periodically or remotely; medical and dental limitations of a remote clinic and access referral to specialty services, when medically necessary. Information will also be disseminated on the medical evacuation process, requirements, and regulations. Lastly, there will be a discussion on customer service tools to help the clinic better serve its beneficiaries.
In an attempt to further clarify any misconceptions about the clinic, the Public Affairs Office aboard station will be conducting a story series delving into the services the clinic offers.
