"It was tough last year when I wasn't able to go. Now I have the support of my family and command, and I just want to go out there, have a good time and hopefully I will make the team."

"It's just a good time going out on the field with the guys building camaraderie. The past two years have been really enjoyable; I have been playing with a good group of guys, and it?s just been a lot of fun."
While Gibbs was surprised that he was selected to try out, his teammates were not surprised in the least.
"He is a great player and very deserving to represent the Marine Corps by playing for the All-Marine team," said Bobby Dillard, Gibbs teammate.
While there is a long road ahead for Gibbs, he is looking forward to the opportunity to show off his skills and compete against the best players in the Marine Corps.
"I have been playing sports for the past 25 years and while I enjoy winning, it's more about having a good time," said Gibbs. "It's a great opportunity for me and I am going to take full advantage of it, and hopefully it will work out for me."
