Under the eyes of Marines and Iwakuni local officials, Yamaguchi Prefecture riot specialists board a vessel in search of armed terrorists as part of an annual bilateral training exercise at the Iwakuni Port Nov. 28. The exercise is conducted to foster interoperability between the Japanese Coast Guard and local law enforcement, polishing procedures to be utilized in the adverse event of a terrorist attack.
