The Commanding Generals of III Marine Expeditionary Force and 1st Marine Aircraft Wing invite media representatives to an event in the immediate future regarding the arrival of the F-35B Joint Strike Fighter to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan.

III Marine Expeditionary Force Commanding General Lt. Gen. Lawrence D. Nicholson and 1st Marine Aircraft Wing Commanding General Maj. Gen. Russell A. Sanborn will provide statements and accept a few questions from media representatives during a welcome and arrival ceremony. Media members will also be allowed to take photos and video imagery of the F-35B, taxiing and on static display.

Media members interested in attending the media event should contact the Public Affairs Office by emailing iwakuni.pao@usmc.mil no later than noon on January 9. Please include in the email: full name (for Japanese, please include both alphabet and Kanji), media agency, job title, current address (must match address on photo ID), date of birth and a cell phone number of each media member attending. Each agency is limited to two to three people. Changes to media registration information will not be accepted after the deadline. Registered media will receive meeting time and location information prior to the event.
