Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni is pleased to announce the Iwakuni Music Festival & Car Show, which will be the first one held at Kizuna Stadium in Atago Sports Complex, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018. The event will be open to the public and is a great opportunity for MCAS Iwakuni and host nation friends and residents to make memories and enjoy the entertainment together.

Guests can expect music performances from today’s Top 40 hits, traditional Japanese Taiko drums, Classic Rock, Blues and American-style live entertainment. Guests can also enjoy food and beverages while they admire a variety of static-display cars.

The air station’s bilateral open house - JMSDF/MCAS Iwakuni Friendship Day - has been one of the most popular events in Iwakuni City because of its culturally-enriching experience between MCAS Iwakuni and our neighbors and friends. We hope our new event, which is made possible because of the newly constructed shared-use facilities, will strengthen the bond between the two cultures and will continue to evolve into another culturally-enriching event held in Iwakuni.
