Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni invites members of the media to observe the bilateral MCAS Iwakuni Blood Drive on the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 21. The Japan Red Cross Yamaguchi Blood Center blood donation bus has long visited the air station twice a year, in March and August.

The bi-annual blood drive became a bilateral event in 2017 and will see participation from both Japanese workforce and U.S. personnel. The next blood drive is scheduled Wednesday, Aug 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Media representatives wishing to attend the event must contact the MCAS Iwakuni Communication Strategy and Operations Office by submitting an email to iwakuni.pao@usmc.mil no later than noon, Wednesday Aug 7.
