Within the last 24 hours, eleven (11) individuals at MCAS Iwakuni have tested positive for COVID-19. These individuals have been in a restriction of movement status since Nov. 9. All identified close contacts have been quarantined.

These individuals, along with several hundred others, were tested as part of a large-scale testing initiative for those in proximity to the positive cases announced on Nov. 9 and 10. That testing is now complete. 

On-base medical authorities will continue to provide information to off-base health authorities concerning relevant contact trace findings.

All individuals who receive positive tests results will remain in isolation status until classified as recovered in accordance with Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery guidance.
