In an abundance of caution taken in order to protect the health and safety of the Air Station and local Iwakuni community, MCAS Iwakuni and JMSDF FAW-31 have mutually decided to cancel Friendship Day 2022 due to concerns over COVID-19.

We will continue to work side-by-side with the City of Iwakuni and our host nation to get through this pandemic. We look forward to the future of Friendship Day and other opportunities to welcome our off-base neighbors onto the air station.
