MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan -- Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni recently conducted its monthly Community Relations (ComRel) meeting here Mar. 29. During the meeting, units and activities aboard the air station review ComRel events conducted during the previous month and provide information on upcoming ComRel events in the next month.
Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni values the relationship it has with its Japanese hosts. The attached lists are provided to increase awareness of our ongoing efforts towards community service, cultural awareness and friendship exchange. The air station is proud to boast conducting more than 365 events a year, an average of one every day.
Events provided for the upcoming month are tentative and subject to change. Requests by media representatives to cover specific events will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Apr 10 (Tue) or Apr 17 (Tue) – Preschool Visit to Ekimae Hoikuen
Teaching basic English and American culture.

Apr 15 (Sun) – The annual 45th Annual Japanese and American Goodwill Kintai Marathon
Marathon event on base expects approximately 900 Japanese runners to heat the street with Americans.

Apr 21 (Sat) to Jun 9 (Sat) - MCCS Youth Sports Baseball Season
Approximately 230 American and 40 Japanese children will enjoy baseball season together.
