MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan -- No parking will be available aboard MCAS Iwakuni for privately owned vehicles, motorcycles or mopeds during Friendship Day 2013. Only commercial tour busses and Iwakuni City busses will be allowed to enter MCAS Iwakuni for Friendship Day parking. This joint decision between the City of Iwakuni and MCAS Iwakuni will allow for Kintaikyo Airport operations to continue with minimal impact as well reduce the traffic burden for the City of Iwakuni.  It is our pleasure to open our gates and share our culture with our friends and neighbors. For our visitors who arrive via bicycle, parking will be available. Our guest are encouraged to use the  multitude of public transportation options that are available to Friendship Day such as trains, Iwakuni City busses, ferries or private tour busses.
