MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan -- Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224 arrived here Feb. 11 from Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, S.C., as part of the Unit Deployment Program.
Lt. Col. Raymond P. Ayres III commands the "Bengals," which consists of approximately 200 Marines and approximately 10 F/A-18 Hornet aircraft.
The Bengals replaced Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 112, the Cowboys, which returned to Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Ft. Worth, Texas.
