Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni takes pleasure in announcing the first-ever joint, JMSDF Fleet Air Wing 31-MCAS Iwakuni, Friendship Day air show set for Sunday, May 3, 2015!  The annual U.S.-Japan Friendship Day event has been expanded this year to combine both the Fleet Air Wing 31 annual Open House and the traditional MCAS Iwakuni Friendship Day, in one exciting, fun-filled event that will include, for the first time in several years, both static displays and aerial performances!

As members of the greater Iwakuni community, it continues to be our great pleasure to open our gates to the gracious people of our host nation in order to share our two cultures during Japanese Golden Week.  Friendship Day 2015, in its redesigned joint format, promises to be an exciting, culturally enriching event for all involved.
