Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni has invited K-9 units from Hiroshima Prefectural Police Headquarters and the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force Kure Repair and Supply Facility Petroleum Terminal to train together in their respective specialties aboard the air station on Tuesday, Mar 22.

Handlers and their dogs must train regularly in order to maintain operational readiness, and the upcoming bilateral training will help to ensure that readiness, while also strengthening bilateral relations between the U.S. and Japan military and law enforcement entities.  Training items include, but are not limited to, obedience demonstrations and illegal item and substance detection.

Interested media representatives may sign up at MCAS Iwakuni Public Affairs Office (Tel: 79-5551) by noon, Friday, Mar 18.
