MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI, Japan --

The MCAS Iwakuni Commanding Officer is scheduled to relinquish command during an upcoming change-of-command ceremony aboard the air station.

Colonel Richard F. Fuerst will relinquish command to Colonel Lance Lewis at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, during a ceremony at the main parade deck.

The ceremony is scheduled to last approximately one hour. Media interested in covering the event should contact the Communication Strategy and Operations Office by sending an email to iwakuni.pao@usmc.mil no later than noon on Wednesday, Aug. 7. Registered media will receive coordinating instructions prior to the event.
