Within the last 24 hours, two (2) individuals at MCAS Iwakuni have tested positive for COVID-19 following restriction of movement exit testing.

These individuals were placed into a restriction of movement period after travel to a high risk area.

All close contacts have been appropriately identified and quarantined. The likelihood of further spread of the virus remains low due to strict adherence to restriction of movement procedures.

If you are experiencing COVID-like symptoms, do not go to work. Call 255-8100 and self-quarantine until you receive instructions from a competent medial authority.

On-base medical authorities will continue to provide information to off-base health authorities concerning relevant contact trace findings.

All individuals who receive positive tests results will remain in isolation status until classified as recovered in accordance with Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery guidance.
