The MCAS Iwakuni Brig is a DoD Level I Brig, and is accredited by the American Corrections Association (ACA).  This facility provides unlimited pre-trial confinement for all DoD personnel, and confinement for up to 30 days for post-trial prisoners. 

Tours are not authorized at any time unless approved by the Brig Officer. 

Correctional Custody Unit (CCU): The Regional Correctional Custody Unit is located in the MCIPAC Brig Okinawa (Camp Hansen) at 623-4948.

• Weekends and holidays from 1230 - 1430 

• Extended visits may be approved on a case-by-case basis (requests should be submited at least one working day prior to a visit).

◎​Visitor Rules and Regulations

• All visitors shall be in appropriate civilian attire.

• Foreign nationals must have a DOD sponsor present during visits.  

• All visitors are required to leave their I.D. card with the Duty Brig Supervisor (DBS) until the visit is secured.

• No visitors under the age of 18 are permitted without a parent or guardian present.

• THIS IS A DOD CORRECTIONAL FACILITY, ANY PERSON ENTERING OR EXITING THE BRIG WILL BE SUBJECT TO SEARCH AT ANY TIME. ​ ​

• Married visitors are required to be accompanied by their, or the inmate's, spouse.

• The following items are examples of contraband and are not permitted into the facility:
