MCAS Iwakuni Facilities Department will be working with a local contractor to perform required transformer upgrade work on April 18 & 25. This work is necessary to enhance the Air Station’s electrical infrastructure, but will affect certain areas including some Family Housing, Unaccompanied Housing, and Community Services. The map linked below shows which buildings are affected by day. Outages will be scheduled between 0830 - 1200.
When the power goes out, keep your fridge and freezer doors shut to maintain cold air.
